Thursday morning sees the square come alive in Eymet with market stalls selling local produce and various other wares.

 

There are also daily markets in close proximity to Eymet;

Note that the markets normally start ‘shutting shop’ around 12.30 ‘ish’

 

During the months of July and August, Eymet’s night market commences it’s Summer appearance. Every Tuesday from around 7pm onwards.  Not to be missed!

 

Offering a wide variety of bars and restaurants in and around the main square, Eymet is a very popular French town, especially in the summer months........The locals are very friendly and make visitors to Eymet most welcome.     

 

Eymet is a very good base for sight-seeing; there are numerous historic and beautiful places to visit within close proximity to the town and countless others within 1—2 hrs drive away. You can also enjoy cycling, golf, walking, rambling, canoeing and of course wine tasting!  Many people house-hunt from this location too.     

 

For those who like to swim, there is an open-air swimming pool within 5 minutes walk of the house!

 

There is also a Carrefour Supermarket just a few minutes walk from the house.

 

You can ‘bag’ yourself a bargain at the many local vide-greniers and brocantes! These are normally held at weekends, but there are also a few ‘Brocante’ shops offering similar wares in Eymet itself.
